THE DESCRIPTION:
Lemonade Tycoon Free is an iPhone version of a ‘90s entrepreneurship game. Set up your own Lemonade Stand, manage your recipe and your marketing plan, and try to succeed!
THE GOOD:
Whenever you open it, it displays an inspirational money-related quote. Game play is similar to the CD-ROM original, complete with sweet old-school graphics and music. If MIDI isn’t your thing, you have the option to play your own music. There are lots of layers to game play, so it will keep you occupied for a good long while.
THE BAD:
Other than setting up initial conditions and adjusting your marketing, recipe, etc, it’s unclear how much you can control the game – more instructions would help. Because the game is ad-supported, game play pauses periodically. There are a bunch of ads for the Kia soul, usually featuring sheep. These ads are slow and hard to skip; the presence of a seemingly non-functional “skip ad” button makes them feel like even more of a pain.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
The ads are sometimes frustrating but the game is VERY addictive. There are a few other Lemonade stand apps out there, but why not go with the original?
