THE DESCRIPTION:
“Mover” is a free App which provides an interface for sharing photos and contacts among multiple iPhones.

THE GOOD:
The interface for “Mover” is straightforward. When you first open it, it shows nearby iPhones also running “Mover” to each of the four sides of your screen. Clicking the ‘+’ icon in the toolbar allows you to create icons for items stored on your phone, which float around on the screen as you manipulate them with your finger. If you flick one off the side of the screen to a colleague’s iPhone, it is transferred to that phone.

THE BAD:
“Mover” is rendered almost useless by a couple of major drawbacks. The App simply doesn’t work seamlessly a lot of the time. It would be great to simply launch “Mover”, choose a file, and slide it over to another phone. It’s not so nice to launch it, realize it hasn’t recognized the phone, close it and reopen it again. Also detracting from its usefulness, “Mover” is limited to transferring only photos and contacts.

THE BOTTOM LINE:
“Mover”
is a free App, which allows casual users to adopt it and share files with other casual users, but without perfect functionality. There is another App out there called “Suitcase” ($4.99) which seems more reliable and covers a lot more features, but if you don’t expect colleagues to be purchasing “Suitcase,” buy “Mover” and hope for the best.
