THE DESCRIPTION:
Tripwolf is a mobile travel guide with over 50,000 global cities available. Each directory provides points of interest and background information in Eating, Cultures & Sights, Not to Miss, Practical Information and more depending on your destination. The application allows you to download up to 3 guides onto your phone at a time.
THE GOOD:
Tripwolf has a beautiful, clean interface with plenty of images for each location. This is VERY user-friendly and accommodating, with a wealth of organized information at your fingertips; address, phone number, rates & features and more details are provided for each listing. It’s also integrated with Google Maps if you need directions. Because you download the travel guides, you don’t need an Internet connection to check out each city. Get a free account in a matter of minutes that you can also access online.
THE BAD:
You’re limited to downloading three city guides at once and the listings can take some time to load, but that’s about it.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
If you’re taking a trip, this is the best guide application available; I’m surprised it’s free. Even if you don’t plan on going anywhere, it’s worth the download to see what they can tell you about your area. Try UrbanSpoons to focus on food and HotelsByMe if finding a place to stay is your top priority – they’re both free.
