THE DESCRIPTION:
WebMD Mobile is a streamlined version of WebMD online; a user’s comprehensive health and medicine database organized by Symptom, Drugs & Treatment, and First Aid information.
THE GOOD:
You can use the body map to search for symptoms according to region or browse conditions by entering symptoms from an alphabetical list. You can see an overview, a list of symptoms, and articles for each condition. The First Aid section provides information about self-care at home in addition to medical treatment, and the Drugs and Treatment category allows you to search for pills by shape, color, and imprint. The system is also very easy to navigate and all of the data is organized into a simple, user-friendly format.
THE BAD:
This is clearly not a substitute for professional advice and you may run into some extra loading time when your search gets specific.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
As far as self-diagnosis is concerned, WebMD is the best internet resource for health information. I wouldn’t download in lieu of a doctor’s appointment, but it is the most organized, well-rounded and streamlined application of its kind. Try “Natural Cures” for more information about natural solutions.
