THE DESCRIPTION:
“aBeauty” allows you to virtually apply makeup on pictures of faces in the application.
THE GOOD:
Choose from four faces on the application and use the Makeup Library to add color to the eyes, lips and cheeks. You can customize the hue and intensity of each color and outline where you want the shade applied. There is a wide variety of color options and it’s easy to save faces you’ve created.
THE BAD:
The lite version only offers four photos of brunettes with light skin tones for you to edit and you can’t upload your own photo unless you upgrade to “aBeauty pro.” You’re really looking at a basic paint tool for faces.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
This is a cool concept, but in its current execution, the app has too many limitations. If you want to test “aBeauty” before you purchase the paid version, this will give you a good sense of the program’s capabilities. The tool isn’t really useful unless you can upload your own photos. Upgrade to “aBeauty Pro” if you want to edit your own face or check out “iMakeups” for free beauty how-to videos.
