THE DESCRIPTION:
This is Howcast.com’s database of how-to videos available to watch through an application.
THE GOOD:
Videos are organized by “Featured,” “Most Recent,” “Playlist,” or you can search manually for specific content. Each 1-3 minute clip includes clear step-by-step instructions, and you can see a brief description and viewer ratings before you choose to watch. Get Howcast.com’s take on “How to get guys to buy you drinks,” “How to Deter Burglars,” in addition to many other options. The interface is clean and easy to navigate.
THE BAD:
The biggest problem here is the loading time; it can take some time to load each page, and the videos will definitely take a while to start up. If you don’t wait for each clip to load, it will interrupt several times as you watch.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
There is a lot of interesting, potentially useful content here. Many of the videos address silly topics, but you will definitely be entertained nonetheless. The slow loading process is frustrating, so you may be better off visiting Howcast.com if you don’t have the patience. Try “Wikihow” for some how-to without the video.
